Embark on an educational journey through our interactive website, a collaborative effort between a designer and course experts. Learn about the diverse biomes around the world and explore how changes in these environments impact the animals residing there. Gain valuable insights into the tropic pyramid, unraveling the complexities of predator-prey relationships and energy flow in ecosystems.
Things Learned
Through my experience with the Biome Explorer, I learned about students' learning patterns. They struggled to understand complex ecological connections in traditional teaching methods. However, interactive visuals and scenarios improved their understanding. The Biome Explorer allowed students to see relationships within ecosystems, helping them comprehend how one element impacts another. This led to a deeper understanding, improved retention, and better academic performance. The interactive tool resulted in many students advancing by a full letter grade, demonstrating the effectiveness of visual and interactive learning methods in enhancing their comprehension of ecological concepts.
